Myriam Bleau: 'Ballistics'
Myriam Bleau is a composer, digital artist and performer based in Montreal. She creates audiovisual systems that go beyond the screen, such as sound installations and performance-specific musical interfaces. Her hybrid electronic practice investigates music performance as a codified cultural manifestation and recontextualizes pop culture elements and music history tropes. Her work has been recognized and presented internationally: Prix Ars Electronica (AT), Sónar (ES) and Sónar Hong Kong, Sonic Arts Award (IT), Elektra (CA), Mutek (MX), ISEA (CA), Transmediale (DE), ACT (KR), Laboral + Lev (ES), Scopitone (FR) and Cafe Oto (UK), to name a few.
Ballistics by Myriam Bleau
Ballistics (2019) is an audiovisual performance for pendulum interfaces drawing inspiration from popular science fiction and mysticism. The wireless luminous objects are equipped with motion sensors allowing for handheld manipulations, oscillations, spins and high momentum trajectories. An exercise in sonifying sharp movements and pendulum physics, this performance uses digital modular synthesis to reveal a corroded and textural landscape of uneven rhythms.

Mundo Prestigio
Jay is already history. The creative raw material that Ju, Brais, Fiz and Fer share is recycled, recomposed and it makes its way to the surface wearing new shapes and colours.
Drums, bass and keyboard sever their ties with the guitar, searching for a breath of fresh air wherever it comes from, and are made available to samplers. Mundo Prestigio is a party to which pop, hip-hop, Isaac Hayes, and BadBadNotGood are invited, and in which the important thing is and will always be to have a great time. The band premiered in 2019 on-stage at the Melona Fest IV.
In May, the first work of Mundo Prestigio debuts as an EP, with a selection of 6 themes in which beats and basses under the influence “hip-hopera” take centre stage. After the sound of this first work is the magic wand of Hevi (Malandrómeda, Fluzo).
