The argument of this proposal is based on a newcomer to Rome who is living a transcendental adventure in the city. This individual will serve the director as a vehicle to capture the spirit of the city as well as a story of a special relationship with the painting and the landscape.

Trees, animals, lights, colors, spaces ... A sensorial navigation in the villages of San Sadurniño, where to see is to retain-perceive, where the eye is not contaminated and enjoys the adventure of perception. Paraphrasing Stan Brakhage, "How many colors are there in a field of grass for the baby, who ignores the "green"? How many rainbows can it create the light for the unpolated eye? How much does the variations in the heat wave be for being that eye?"

Blink is an experimental film that plays out by challenging the threshold of human visual awareness. The absorption and effect of the bombardment of images that we experience in the contemporary acceleration, decomposes like a melody full of needs. From this perspective, two opposing spaces, city and nature, engage in dialogue interpellating in a reflection on the habitat.

You press the button and the movie starts to run. The sound of the power unit moving each frame after being exposed. The light and its shadow, the image set forever. The desire to film and be filmed. The desire contained in each plane, in each look through the viewfinder. There is no repetition, everything is authentic.

Joel decides to go off to an unknown territory, leaving behind just a trail of 16mm film rolls. An encrypted message that offers a glimpse of his journey about detachment and the search for a new connection with nature.

I try to imagine what will be inside the devil's eye. Three kaleidoscopic curtains go through the evil pupil and I think, if inside it, there won't be a cave full of treasures and precious gems, furiously protected by a terrifying dragon. The devil keeps within itself the sweetest looks and the most beautiful visions, like an open wound abyssed in two directions. The world decomposes dismally, when everything is too violent to be seen. Now that I think about it, I am that demon.

The Guajira peninsula, a landscape trapped between birth and decay, suspended in a time which seems to stay still, oblivious of itself, in an endless twilight. A Young-Girl drifts without any apparent destination, not lost nor found, escaping from what seems to be herself. She wanders in a silence filled with music, wind and sand, remote and forgotten.
